Company Owner/Founder

Duane Brown

A trailblazer in fire protection with over five decades of experience, Duane Brown is a respected pioneer in the fire protection industry. He began his journey in 1972, shortly after completing his military service, and has dedicated his life to protecting lives and property through expert sprinkler inspection, supervision, and bidding oversight. His hands-on leadership and unwavering standards have made him a trusted presence across the field.

Treg Brown

Bringing over 40 years of hands-on experience, Treg Brown is a cornerstone of the fire protection industry. He began his career in 1984 and has since built a legacy grounded in precision, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to life safety. Over the decades, Treg has become a trusted authority in the field, earning respect not only for his deep technical knowledge but also for his dedication to doing things right the first time.

Jonathon Powers

Entering the fire protection industry at the age of 16, this seasoned professional now brings 27 years of hands-on experience across nearly every facet of the field. Career roles have included company driver, shop worker, shop manager, fire sprinkler installer, designer, inspector, design manager, field operations manager, estimator, overall operations manager, and CO.

A graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School, formal training includes AutoCAD instruction through Rice University and fire sprinkler design coursework through the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA).

Office Manager

Tina Williams

Tina Williams is the Office Manager for Brown Brothers Fire Protection. She joined the Brown Brothers family in 2005,and has remained a dedicated part of the team ever since.

With a strong background in office management, Tina brings years of experience in bookkeeping, grant processing, lien management, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, and handling all monthly and quarterly reports. She is certified in QuickBooks and is a Notary Public for the State of Texas.

Born and raised in the beautiful state of Texas, Tina is a proud mother of two and “Gigi” to ten beautiful grandchildren. Her focus is keeping the office running smoothly and ensuring every customer feels appreciated and is always greeted with a friendly voice.

Crystal Powers

With a passion for organization, planning, and team coordination, Crystal brings heart and dedication to her role, shaped by 21+ years as a devoted mother and wife. She is skilled in managing schedules, maintaining agendas, note-taking, filing, and data entry. Crystal takes pride in creating efficient systems and supporting smooth day-to-day operations.

In addition to her administrative role, Crystal also manages the design and content of the company website, helping to ensure Brown Brothers Fire Protection has a clear, professional, and modern online presence.

Her passion for organization, attention to detail, and creative initiative make her a strong asset to the team.

Head Foreman

Thomas Brown

Thomas Brown's foundation in fire protection began early, his father, Duane Brown, started teaching him the trade as a young boy in 1988. Surrounded by pipe wrenches, blueprints, and work ethic, Thomas developed a hands-on understanding of the industry well before most. By 1999, he stepped into a full-time role and has since become a respected figure in the field.

Certified in backflow prevention and known for his deep knowledge of system installation, Thomas now serves as Lead Foreman at Brown Brothers Fire Protection. He brings a steady presence to every project, leading with calm focus and a deep sense of responsibility. Clients and coworkers alike trust his consistency, skill, and long-earned expertise.

Whether he’s overseeing major installs or mentoring younger team members, Thomas continues to carry forward his family’s legacy with humility and pride.

Drake has a sharp eye for detail and a strong passion for creating and refining technical drawings. He excels at cleaning up and optimizing designs to ensure clarity and precision. Dedicated and proactive, Drake is always eager to contribute and support projects in any way he can.

Chuck Holstein

Chuck has been in the fire sprinkler industry since 1981. As a Lead Foreman, he specializes in new construction installations, additions, and relocations. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, Chuck consistently delivers high-quality results on every project.

Purchasing Agent/Shop Manager

Ron Maier

With 45 years of industry experience, he serves as both Purchasing Agent and Shop Manager, bringing extensive knowledge and dependable leadership to the team.

Mike Josvanger

Nearly two decades in the field, Mike brings unmatched experience and steady hands to every project. He’s known for his reliability, sharp problem-solving skills, and confident leadership that keeps jobs running smoothly from start to finish.

Sam Martinez

Sam leads with confidence and knows underground systems like the back of his hand. His 18 years in the field and specialty in underground fire lines make him an invaluable force in keeping projects running smoothly and safely.

Fran Brown

Fran is the heart behind the scenes, helping coordinate HR, marketing, and employee recognition.

Whether she’s handling business communications or making sure the team’s hard work gets rewarded, Fran keeps the people side of Brown Brothers strong.

She’s also a dedicated mom and proud grandmother who brings that same care and loyalty into everything she does.

In Loving Memory: Office Manager (2014-2021)

Chrissie "Cat" Dixon

Chrissie “Cat” Dixon was more than a dedicated employee, she was family, both by blood and by heart. Joining Brown Brothers Fire Protection in March of 2014, Chrissie served as our Office Manager with unmatched grace, strength, and a servant's spirit. She brought not only skill and organization to the company, but a deep sense of loyalty and compassion that left a lasting mark on everyone she worked with.

Born in Spring Branch, Texas, Chrissie was the beloved daughter of Duane and Fran Brown. Her roots ran deep in this community, and her faith anchored her through every season of life. She was baptized at Whispering Pines Church at the age of 11 and lived her life as a reflection of that faith, giving back through her time, her work, and her love.

Outside the office, Chrissie gave her heart to her family. She was a devoted wife to Jack Dixon for 18 years and a proud mother to two beautiful daughters, Brianna Leigh and Bailee Ann. She also volunteered her time with New Horizons, supporting children with special needs, a testament to her kindness and calling.

Chrissie passed away on October 10, 2021. Her strength and presence are deeply missed, but her legacy continues to live on in the lives she touched, both at home and here at Brown Brothers.

Fire Sprinkler Systems

Our wet systems are ideal for standard, temperature controlled environments
while dry systems are designed for areas at risk of freezing, using pressurized air to prevent water from sitting in the pipes.
